Details of battle of Waterloo:
The battle of Waterloo was fought on 18 June 1815 between French army and Prussian +British army. Napolean Bonapart was the French leader who conquered much part of Europe in early 19th century. In 1814 he was exiled due to Russia attack on French and other two defeats was also the cause of Nepolean exile. In 1815 he returned and again came into power. Other Europeans didn't like it. So they decided to fight. On the other side before 2 days of battle of Waterloo French army defeated the Prussian army but they regrouped and they decided to help British army. On the war day, early in the morning Nepolean waited for drying of ground, because there was rain at night. In afternoon battle was started. Number of soldiers of French army was about 72,000. British army which was combined by Belgium, Dutch and German troops was 68,000. At the end of the day British army was helped by Prussian army that was about 48,000 in numbers. So French army was out numbered by opponents.Why Nepolean Lost the Battle:
Many people wonder the man:who extended his empire to the larger portion of Europe, was defeated in battle of Waterloo. There are few reasons behind this as given below.- French army was 72,000 in numbers and he had to fight against almost 115,000 soldiers.
- On the day of war in the morning Nepolean did not fight due to the wet ground. He could fought at that time. In the afternoon Prussian army was add up in French army so it was hard to defeat.
- Some people say that some inexperienced commanders was the reason of Nepolean's defeat.
- There is also a factor that Nepolean did not arrange his army well in this battle.
